Effective date: June 04, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data PerformStars collects, how we use, store, protect, and disclose data when operating the performstars.com website, user account, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, creating an account, uploading video, or purchasing access, you agree to data processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service and do not provide us with personal data, videos, or other materials.
I. Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of data:
- account data: name, email, protected password, user ID, and profile settings;
- sports and profile data: age category, gender, country, player parameters, club, skill level, preferences, training history, and match history;
- user materials: videos, images, match and training fragments, comments, descriptions, tags, video links, and related files;
- analysis results: reports, statistics, episode tags, recommendations, comparisons, training tasks, and processing history;
- payment data: payment status, plan, subscription period, payment method, transaction identifiers, transfer confirmations, and data required to allocate payments;
- technical data: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language, time zone, cookies, session data, error logs, and security events;
- communications: support requests, email replies, messages, complaints, and requests to delete or change data.
We do not request special categories of personal data, such as health data, unless they are necessary for the Service. However, videos and user comments may indirectly contain information about physical condition, injuries, age, appearance, or other sensitive circumstances. By uploading such materials, you confirm that you have the legal basis and required consents to provide them to the Service.
II. Videos and Closed Processing Environment
The core function of the Service is analysis of user sports videos. Videos are processed within a closed processing environment: access is limited to technical systems, authorized employees, and contractors who need access for upload, storage, analysis, tagging, report generation, support, error diagnostics, security, and quality control.
We do not sell user videos to third parties and do not publish private videos without user consent or another lawful basis. However, operation of the Service may involve infrastructure providers, including hosting, cloud storage, databases, email services, analytics, payment providers, error monitoring, and other technical contractors.
Private videos are not used in public demonstrations or published datasets without user consent or another lawful basis. We may use de-identified fragments, metadata, annotations, and derived statistical features to improve recognition quality, test quality, conduct internal analytics, and develop new features, provided that such use does not identify a specific user or athlete.
III. How We Use Data
We use data for the following purposes:
- creating and maintaining user accounts;
- uploading, storing, processing, and analyzing videos;
- generating reports, statistics, recommendations, and training tasks;
- providing free limits, paid access, subscriptions, and access control for available features;
- processing payments through Apple Pay, Apple, payment providers, bank cards, direct transfers, or other available methods;
- supporting users, responding to requests, restoring access, and resolving technical issues;
- ensuring security and preventing fraud, abuse, limit circumvention, and unauthorized access;
- improving the Service, testing, usage analytics, quality control, and developing new features;
- complying with law, government requests, court orders, and protecting the rights of PerformStars, users, and third parties.
IV. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on your country and the nature of the data, we process data on one or more legal bases: performance of a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, and protection of rights and user safety.
You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal and does not cancel processing necessary to perform a contract, comply with law, resolve disputes, account for payments, or protect rights.
V. Payments and Subscription
We do not store full bank card details when payment is processed through Apple, Apple Pay, App Store, a bank, or a payment provider. Such data is processed by the relevant payment operator under its own terms. We may receive payment status, plan, subscription period, amount, currency, transaction ID, payment country, and payment verification result.
If you pay by direct transfer, we may process transfer confirmation, sender name, last digits of an account or card, amount, date, payment description, account email, and other data necessary to identify and allocate the payment.
If a subscription is purchased through Apple, subscription management, cancellation of renewal, and refunds are handled through Apple ID, App Store, or other Apple tools. We may receive data from Apple needed to verify subscription status and provide access, but we do not manage your Apple payment credentials.
VI. Data Sharing
We may disclose data only to the extent necessary for a specific purpose:
- hosting, cloud infrastructure, database, file storage, and content delivery providers;
- contractors and team members involved in video analysis, technical support, quality control, and security;
- payment systems, Apple, banks, and payment providers for payment processing, subscriptions, refunds, and transaction verification;
- email, analytics, error monitoring, anti-fraud, and user communication services;
- government authorities, courts, law enforcement, or other persons where required by law or necessary to protect rights;
- a successor in case of reorganization, sale of business, asset transfer, merger, or another corporate transaction, provided reasonable data protection is maintained.
We do not disclose personal data or videos to third parties for their own independent advertising without a legal basis or user consent.
VII. App Store and Google Play Data Safety Disclosures
For Apple App Store Privacy Nutrition Label and Google Play Data Safety purposes, the Service and our third-party SDKs or service providers may collect the data categories listed below. Some data is collected directly by PerformStars, and some may be collected or processed by providers we use for authentication, hosting, payments, analytics, diagnostics, security, messaging, and app functionality.
Data categories may include:
- email address, user ID, and account identifiers for account creation, login, support, and security;
- profile and sports data, such as player parameters, country, skill level, club, training history, and match history;
- photos, videos, and other user-generated content uploaded for analysis, reports, recommendations, and storage;
- purchase history, subscription status, plan, transaction identifiers, payment confirmation, and entitlement status;
- device identifiers, app instance identifiers, IP address, browser or device information, operating system, language, and time zone;
- app interactions, such as screens viewed, feature usage, upload events, analysis requests, account actions, and settings changes;
- diagnostics, crash logs, error logs, performance data, security logs, and abuse-prevention signals;
- communications with support, including messages, requests, replies, and account or deletion verification information.
These data categories are used to provide and improve app functionality, analyze user videos, maintain accounts, manage subscriptions and purchases, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, ensure security, diagnose crashes and errors, measure app performance, comply with legal obligations, and protect rights.
We do not sell user videos or personal data. We do not use private uploaded videos for third-party advertising. If an app store, SDK provider, payment provider, or analytics provider classifies a data item differently, its own privacy disclosures and terms may also apply. Users should review Apple, Google, payment provider, and relevant SDK provider privacy notices where applicable.
VIII. Camera, Media Library, Files, and Network Permissions
The app may request access to the camera, media library, files, and network only to let you record, select, upload, and analyze sports videos. These permissions are used for user-facing Service functionality, including capturing a new video, choosing an existing video, uploading it to the Service, generating reports, and showing analysis results.
The app does not use the camera, media library, or files for hidden data collection. We do not access, upload, or analyze videos from your device unless you take an action to select, record, submit, or upload the relevant video.
A video is sent to our servers only after a user action, such as selecting a video, recording a video for submission, confirming an upload, or otherwise requesting analysis. Network access is used to upload videos, receive reports, manage your account, process purchases or access rights, provide support, and maintain app security and reliability.
If a platform requires an in-app prominent disclosure or permission explanation before collecting or processing sensitive media content, the in-app disclosure should be consistent with this Privacy Policy and should explain that video access is used for sports video upload and analysis only.
IX. Public Profiles and Materials
Some Service features may allow you to publish your profile, performance indicators, reports, collections, links to videos, or other materials. You are responsible for choosing visibility settings and for consequences of sharing links with third parties.
Reports, ratings, comparisons, clips, shot tags, analysis history, and player statistics are private by default unless you make them public, share a link, publish them externally, or grant access to a coach, club, parent, athlete, or another person.
Private videos and closed reports are not intended for public access. However, if you make a material public, share a link, publish a report externally, or grant access to a coach, club, parent, athlete, or another person, further use by such persons may be outside PerformStars control.
X. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, session identifiers, and similar technologies for authentication, saving settings, account protection, measuring Service usage, error diagnostics, analytics, and interface improvement.
You may restrict cookies in your browser settings. Some Service features, including account login, video upload, payment, or saving settings, may not work correctly without necessary cookies.
XI. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to operate the account, provide services, store reports, perform subscriptions, provide support, account for payments, ensure security, comply with law, and protect rights. Retention periods may differ for accounts, videos, reports, payment records, technical logs, and support communications.
After account or material deletion, we delete or de-identify data within a reasonable period unless further retention is required by law, payment accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, or protection of rights. As a general guideline, deleted videos are removed from active storage within 30 days after a confirmed deletion request, unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or technical recovery. Backup copies may remain until overwritten or deleted under our normal backup rotation cycle.
Technical logs, security logs, diagnostics, crash logs, and abuse-prevention records are generally retained for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is needed to investigate incidents, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. Payment, subscription, invoice, tax, accounting, and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable law, accounting rules, tax rules, payment providers, banks, and dispute or chargeback procedures.
XII. Security
We apply organizational and technical safeguards, including access separation, user accounts, protected data transmission, infrastructure access control, backups, error monitoring, and other reasonable security measures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee full protection from all failures, attacks, provider errors, third-party actions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. You must also protect your devices, password, email, and account access.
XIII. User Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and information about processing purposes.
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@performstars.com. We may request additional information to verify your identity and connect the request with a specific account, video, or payment.
Some requests may be limited if retention or processing is necessary to perform a contract, account for payment, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect rights, resolve disputes, or ensure Service security.
XIV. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your PerformStars account in the app by opening Profile, then Settings, and selecting Delete Account. You can also request account and data deletion without using the app through our dedicated Account Deletion page or by emailing info@performstars.com from the email address connected to your account.
When deletion is confirmed, we delete or de-identify your account, profile, uploaded videos, generated reports, analysis history, recommendations, tags, and related training data. We may ask for additional information to verify account ownership before deleting data.
Some data may be kept temporarily where needed for payment accounting, tax or legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, dispute resolution, chargebacks, backups, or protection of legal rights. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until they are overwritten or deleted under our normal backup schedule.
Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by Apple, App Store, Apple ID, your bank, or another payment provider. If your subscription is managed by Apple, you should cancel it through your Apple ID or App Store subscription settings.
XV. Children and Minors
The Service is not intended for independent use by children under 13. If you upload video or data of a minor, you confirm that you are a parent, legal guardian, or have the necessary consents to provide and process such data.
If a coach, club, parent, tournament organizer, school, sports section, or another representative uploads video of an athlete, that person confirms that they have the required consent for recording, uploading, storing, analyzing, and displaying reports based on the video. This is especially important for sports videos because a recording may show other players, coaches, spectators, children, staff, billiard tables, club premises, competition locations, or other identifiable people or locations.
If you believe that a child’s data was provided without required consent, contact us at info@performstars.com. We will review the request and take reasonable measures, including deletion or restriction of processing, if the grounds are confirmed.
XVI. International Data Transfers
You understand that Service infrastructure, providers, and team members may be located in different countries. Therefore, data may be transferred to and processed outside your country with reasonable safeguards and to the extent necessary to operate the Service.
XVII. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, payment interfaces, app stores, social networks, video hosting platforms, or partner services. Their data processing is governed by their own rules. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.
XVIII. Terms of Use
Terms governing Service use, liability limitations, subscription, payment, refunds, user materials, and warranty disclaimers are described in our Terms of Use.
XIX. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, law, payment methods, infrastructure, or data processing procedures change. The new version applies from the date of publication unless another date is specified.
Continued use of the Service after publication of an updated Privacy Policy means that you accept the changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
XX. Contact
